Read-a-Thon Update: Going Solo

Betty, with honey vanilla chamomile tea and a good book
(The Children Who Smelled a Rat, by Allan Ahlberg)

Betty (age 7, almost 8) has announced that she's finished with the Read-a-Thon for today.

Oh, well. Like all things related to childhood, this was all-too-fleeting.

I just commented on the previous blog asking how Betty was doing and here you've gone and answered me!

Do you have Bats in the Library? And does she have any good recommendations for Halloween reads.
