Here, There, and Everywhere

Here in the Philadelphia area, weather reports are almost always categorized as BREAKING NEWS. Such is the case at the moment, with our local meterologists breathlessly predicting that tomorrow morning we might have as much as - wait for it! - 3 inches of snow in the Philadelphia area.

This is the article on philly.com about the impending ... um ... storm.

And this is the accompanying photo.

It took me a second to realize the photo is of a highway in Iowa.

Which, last I checked, isn't in the Philadelphia region.

I guess the point is to make us believe that this is one bad mama jama of a storm heading our way, what with the potential of 3" of snow (which is enough to paralyze this area, believe me). But c'mon, how stupid does the media think we are?

On second thought, don't answer that.

that's funny :) I'm in Minnesota, so bad weather isn't really news... it's been a cold week (windchill -30F tonight and tomorrow!) and the roads are bad today.

Oh my gosh, christa ... that is COLD! Makes our temps here in the 20s and 30s seem positively tropical.
